CARNESVILLE – Patricia Ann Ausborn Murray, 71, passed away Monday, January, 19, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Banks County on August 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Plumer “Duck” Ausborn and Ola Mae Brady Ausborn. Mrs. Murray was retired from Ethicon with 28 years of service and she was a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed time with her grandchildren, crossword puzzles, and crocheting. Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Murray; a son, Dale Murray; and brothers, Wilburn, Deward, and Young Ausborn.
Surviving include a son and daughter-in-law, Kimsey and Souly Murray, Carnesville; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and David Thurmond, Carnesville; brothers, Roger Ausborn and Morris Ausborn, both of Toccoa; sisters, Carolyn Turpin, Carnesville, and Gail McFarlin and Glenda Sutton, both of Toccoa; grandchildren, D.J., B.J., Starr, and Hailie Thurmond, Becky Boulineau, and Kemberlee Murray; great-grandchildren, Christian and Lillian; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, at the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with the Revs. Gary Ledford and David Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in the Murray-Jackson Cemetery in Banks County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20.
