COMMERCE – Julian C. Bridges, 85, died Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Northridge Medical Center.
Mr. Bridges was born in Commerce, the son of the late, Richard and Nancy Fleeman Bridges. He was a retired mechanic from Billy Cain Ford and a chicken farmer. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church and a United States Army veteran. Mr. Bridges was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Faye Wilbanks Bridges.
Survivors include a son, Mark Bridges , Ellijay; daughters, Nancy Bridges, Commerce, and Karen Weaver, Royston; brother, Jimmy Bridges, Commerce; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 28, at 22 a.m., from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Henderson officiating. Interment will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, January 27, from 6 to 8 p.m.
