JEFFERSON – Bobby Jewell Potter, 76, entered into rest Monday, March 23, 2015.
Mr. Potter was born in Atlanta, the son of the late John Jewell Potter and Lottie Bell Tate Potter. He was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War and a retired optician. Mr. Potter was preceded in death by a son, Troy Potter.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Brown Potter, Jefferson; son, Worth Todd Potter, Wisconsin; daughters, Deanne Potter Glenn, Rome, Tanya Renee Potter Barton, Jefferson, and Lori Suzanne Potter, Foley, Ala.; son, Bobby Bryan Potter, Jefferson; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26, from the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Galilee Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25.
