MAYSVILLE – William David “Bill” Presley, 67, entered into rest Saturday, April 4, 2015.
Mr. Presley was born in Jackson County, the son of the late Wilburn and Ruth McDonald Presley. He was a member of Redeemed Baptist Church, was an ordained minister, and was a plumber by trade. Mr. Presley found great enjoyment in artistry and was an accomplished painter. The love of music was a big part of Mr. Presley’s life, he made musical instruments throughout his life and taught music to many who shared his interest, especially his family who share his love of making music. Mr. Presley was preceded in death by brothers, Ford, Bert, Tom, and Lee Presley; and sisters, Lila Gee and Evelyn Healan.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby Fowler Presley, Maysville; sons and daughters-in-law, David Presley and his wife Dana, Maysville, and Darrel Presley and his wife Sharon, Nicholson; daughter, Melody Dudziak and her husband Mark, Jefferson; four sisters, Margie Gaddis, Braselton, Betty Edge, Gainesville, Clara Palmer, Monroe, and Wilma Jean Dalton, Athens; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and close family friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, from the Redeemed Baptist Church, 805 B Wilson Road, Commerce, with the Revs. Phil Parks, Darrel Presley, and Louis Gaddis officiating. Burial will be in Evans Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, April 6, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Corey Mize, Joshua Presley, Brian Presley, Mark Dudziak, Danny Whitlock, Henry Dills, and Edward Fowler
