COMMERCE – Peggy Anne Edwards Cochran, 72, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at The Oaks of Athens.
Mrs. Cochran was born in Jefferson, the daughter of the late, William and Eva Davis Edwards. Mrs. Cochran was a retired LPN from Athens Regional Medical Center and a member of Oconee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Cochran; son, Eugene Thomas (Cowboy) Cochran; and son-in-law, David Nylander.
Survivors include daughters, Teresa Minish, Janice Owensby, and Cheryl Nylander, all of Commerce; sisters, Betty Miller and Donnette Bowles, both of Commerce, and Margaret Mooney, Carnesville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and best friend, Abby.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, at 2 p.m., from Oconee Baptist Church with the Revs. Swayne Cochran and Bethe Kellum officiating. Interment will be at Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 20, from 6 to 9 p.m.
