JEFFERSON – Russell Ted Tullis, 69, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015.
Mr. Tullis was born in Buford, the son of the late Henry Early Tullis and Mary Simpson Tullis. Mr. Tullis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church, and a Volkswagen mechanic. Mr. Tullis was preceded in death by sisters-in-law, Linda M. Tullis and Cindy Whitlock; and brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Mary Edwards.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Whitlock Tullis, Jefferson; son, Russell Darin Tullis, Belize; daughter, Deidre Mallick, Land O Lakes, Fla.; son, Richard Darrell (Amanda) Tullis, Jefferson; brother, Richard D (Kay Harper) Tullis, Buford; sister, Sharon (Scott) Kinsey, Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Oscar and Ann Morrison, Jefferson; brother –in-law, Jimmy Whitlock, Jefferson; grandchildren, Brianna Crumley, Sarah Tullis, Dylan Tullis, Amber Tullis, Nathan Thaxton, Kendra Gasperson, and Blakey Mallick; and one great-grandchild, Carson Gunter.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral home with the Revs. Lamar Purcell, Terry Hagwood and Zach Watson officiating. The burial will follow in the Broadlawn Memorial gardens in Buford, with James Murphy, Caleb Edwards, Andy Edwards, Mark Edwards, Brian Bullock, Jimmy Wilson, and Dylan Tullis honored as pallbearers.
