STOKESDALE, N.C. – Gloyd L. Ayers, 79, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Beacon Place.
Mr. Ayers was born in Homer, the son of the late Era Sterling and Mamie White Ayers. He was a United States Army veteran and was retired from Reliance Electric.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherrie Wyrick, Stokesdale, N.C.; son, David Ayers, Greensboro, N.C.; sisters, Mary Edens, Raleigh, N.C., and Barbara Ann Ayers Hillman, Hiawassee; brothers, Glenn Ayers and James Ayers, both of Lavonia; and grandson, Trevous Wyrick.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 27, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Webbs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
