Constance Ann Stancil, 86, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
Mrs. Stancil was born in Mishawaka, Ind. in 1929 and moved to Athens in 1951. She attended Kalamazoo College and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1953. Mrs. Stancil was the widow of Virlyn Stancil and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Joy Stancil; daughter, Gina Stancil; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Clinton Norton; grandchildren, Katie and Jesse Norton, Jake Stancil, Luke and Mayer Stancil, all of Athens; step-daughter, Connie Van Every, Bristol, Wis.; and step-son, Jim Stancil, Grayslake, Ill.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at Evergreen Memorial Park with Dr. Glenn Doak officiating.
