COMER – Jewel Arnold Garrett, 82, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
She was born in Gadsden, Ala., on June 10, 1930, the daughter of the late James and Dollie Mae Arnold. She worked for a number of years with J.C. Penney.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Michael Garris; son and daughter-in-law, Arnie and Amy Garrett; grandchildren, Sonya Perkins, Paula Schimmel, Christen Hudnall, and Shannon Streetman; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Perkins, Walker Schimmel, Natalie and Adison Streetman.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Friday, October 12, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Warren Green officiating. Interment will be in Colbert Cemetery.
