DANIELSVILLE – Marcus Mitchell House, 86, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. House was born in Danielsville on January 21, 1929, the son of the late Thomas Jefferson House and Tillie Human House. He was a paving contractor and cattle farmer. Mr. House attended Hannah’s Creek Baptist Church and was a United States Army Veteran, having served during the Korean War.
Mr. House was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Florrie McLeroy House; brother, John House; and sisters, Rachel Roach, Polly Epps, Velman Wehunt, and Rebecca Moon.
Survivors include his children and spouses, Michael House, Danielsville, Kenneth (Cindy) House, Danielsville, Dewey (Cindy) Anglin, Danielsville, and Bobbie Jean House Petty (Kerry), Danielsville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Jerry House, Canon; sister, Comelia Breedlove, Jonesboro; and a very special friend, Ruth Fleming, Royston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jeff Jones and Doug Conwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel M Baptist Church Cemetery in Danielsville. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. on Monday, July 6. The family is at the home.
