COLBERT – Margaret Crumley Mattox, 84, died Sunday, August 23, 2015.
A lifelong resident of Colbert, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Annie Sorrow Crumley. Mrs. Mattox was an active member of the Colbert First Baptist Betherean Sunday School Class. She loved gardening, flowers, and most of all, her family. Mrs. Mattox was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and one son, Bruce Alan Mattox.
Survivors include six children, Tony (Denise) Mattox, Kathy (Richard) Whitfield, Eric Mattox, Durward (Susan) Mattox, John Mattox, and Lee (Samantha) Mattox; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 26, at Colbert First Baptist Church at with the Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Interment was at Colbert Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Mattox, Ryan Mattox, Nick Mattox, Dustin Mattox, Dwain Free, and Richard Whitfield.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, was in charge of arrangements.
