DALEVILLE, VA – Stephen Nash Gillespie, 71, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born October 31, 1944, the son of the late Reuben Nash and Lula Mae Langston Gillespie. Steve graduated from Clemson University in 1967. He worked his entire career with Lee’s Carpets (Burlington/Mohawk Industries) retiring in 2009.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Gloria A. Gillespie; daughters, Stephanie Duncan, Allison Lucas (Tim), and Amy Hooven (Brent); sister, Eleanor McDonald (Jeff); 10 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Sara Audulewicz; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 8, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, Va. Burial will be private.
