Bernese Chandler, 88, died Monday, December 14, 2015.
A native of Polk County, Mrs. Chandler was the daughter of the late Webb and Stella Shefield Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Chandler.
Survivors include children, Phil Chandler (Jodi Conley), Blairsville, , and Lisa Smith, Winder; grandchildren, Daniel and Luke Martin, and Nathaniel Chandler; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Smith Memory Chapel Thursday, December 17, at 4 p.m. Burial will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, December 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Smith Funeral Home, Winder, is in charge of arrangements.
