HULL – Shirley Rose Hall McElroy, 79, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
She was born August 15, 1936, in Royston, the daughter of the late James Pink Hull and Delia Floy Scarborough Hall. She was a retired seamstress from the textile industry. Mrs. McElroy was preceded in death by ten siblings; a son, Dennis McElroy; and granddaughter, Ginger McElroy.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Robin McElroy, Watkinsville, Bobby and Pam McElroy, Crawford; daughters, Kim Hayes, Nicholson, Stacey McElroy, Athens, Debora Hall, Watkinsville; brother, Loyce Hall, Monroe; grandchildren, Trent McElroy, Amanda and Craig Mauldin, Dylan McElroy, Samantha McElroy, Zoe Ramsey, Garrett Hayes, Zachary Taylor, Wesley McElroy; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Charleigh Mauldin.
Mrs. McElroy’s wishes were to be cremated and memorial services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
