TOCCOA – Mildred Greemon Dalton, 88, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Friendship Nursing Home.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur Loyd and Alice Smith Greemon. Mrs. Dalton was born November 17, 1927, in Easley, S.C., having lived in Banks and Stephens County most of her life. She was retired from WABCO with 33 years of service and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, TomE Bradford Dalton; son, Roger Dale Dalton; brother, Fred Greemon; and a sister, Betty Templeton.
Survivors include a son, Winferd Lynn Dalton, Toccoa; two grandchildren, Jacob Dalton and Betsy Dalton; brother, Ricky Greemon, Baldwin; and sister, Imogene Seelow, Bremerton, Wash.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, at 2 p.m., at Mountain View Baptist Church in Baldwin, with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kenneth Gary, Bradley Gary, Allen Whitener, Johnny Poole, David Poole, and Scott Harrison.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, August 15, from 5 until 9 p.m. Online condolences can be made by visiting the website at www.acree-davisfh.com.
