Ronald Appleby departed this life to his place of eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2013.
Born in Pendergrass on December 31, 1954, he was the son of Juanita Appleby and the late Love Appleby. He attended Bryan High School in Jefferson.
Survivors in addition to his mother include a devoted and very special friend, Dorothy Appleby; two sons, Ronald Jermaine Appleby (Jennifer) and Emery Demond Appleby (Michell); seven grandchildren, Sharmaine Appleby, Brionna Appleby, Brandon Appleby, Kadyn Appleby, Raelyn B. Nicole Nix, and Keegyn Appleby; six brothers, Herman Appleby (Ann), Ned Appleby, Virgil Appleby (Linda), Larry Appleby (Larose), Rev. Michael Appleby (Ann), and Allen Appleby; one sister, Brenda Appleby; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7, at 1 p.m. from Maxey Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 6, from 1 to 8 p.m.
