Scot R. Parr (7-10-12)

HULL – Scot Reese Parr, 40, died Wednesday, July 10, 2012.

A native of Jackson County and a lifelong resident of Madison County, he was the son of Johnny Edward and Judy Ramsey Parr. Mr. Parr was an electrician with EIC of Athens and was a member of the IBEW Local #613. Mr. Parr was also an avid hunter, fisherman, and loved helping people.

Survivors in addition to his parents include wife, Patricia Carney Parr; children, Austin Scot, Autumn Grace, and Walker Reese Parr; brothers, Shain and Stanley Parr; father and mother-in-law, James and Linda Carney; sister-in-law, Sherry Wilson; brother-in-law, James Gregory Carney; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 15, at 3 p.m. in the chapel at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East. The Revs. Marion Praither and Janice Loggins will officiate. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shain Parr, Stanley Parr, Austin Parr, James Gregory Carney, Walker Parr, Brent Butler, Chip Pearson, and Bryce Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Stanley, Wayne Widdon, Chuck Pearson, and Richard Pritchett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, July 13, and Saturday, July 14, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, is in charge of arrangements.
