WINTERVILLE – Johnny Ray Wills, 72, , husband of Martha Croya Wills, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
He was born in Jackson County on February 21, 1941, the son of the late John Wesley and Frances Ray Wills. He was a retired diesel mechanic, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of Am Vets Post 10 in Athens. Mr. Wills was preceded in death by a sister Marion Davis Porter; and brothers Norris Davis and Lewis Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Croya Wills; a son, John Wesley Wills, Atlanta; daughter, Wendy Chambers, Braselton; stepdaughter, Terri Colquitt, Hull; brothers, Phil Davis, Jefferson, Joel Davis, Jefferson, and Stan Davis, Cumming; sisters, Jonell Wills Loggins, Commerce, Fay Davis, Athens, Marsha Davis, Athens, and Molly Brannon, Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Kayla Kristine Foster, Arnoldsville, and Kevin Christopher Foster, Diamond Hill; and great-grandchildren, Destin Tyler Suarez, Jaden Luis Suarez, and Alexis Chyenne Suarez, all of Arnoldsville.
Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
