WINDER – Clara Griffin Watson, 88, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014.
Mrs. Watson had retired from Tropi Gas, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winder. She was a member of the Winder Eastern Star, where she was past worthy matron. Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Watson.
Survivors include her three nieces, Lane (Wayne) Wilburn, Winder, Lisa Lynn, Chapel Hill, Texas, and Nancy McCants, Winder; nephew, Walter McCants; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 16, in the Smith Memory Chapel with the Rev. Terry Tippens officiating. Burial will be in the Barrow Memorial Gardens.
