NICHOLSON – Lynda Green Garrett, 65, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at her residence after a 15 year struggle with emphysema.
She was born in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of the late Edward M. and Wilma D. Green. She was a member of Nicholson Baptist Church and an online prayer service. She was gifted in faith and prayer and was very talented with arts and crafts. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Green; and a sister, Charlotte Green.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Charles Tim Garrett, Nicholson; sons, Vincent Besnault, Paris, France, and Jason Garrett, Sydney, Australia; daughter, Valerie Besnault, Paris, France; brother, Bill Green, Cottonwood, Ariz.; sister, Bunnie Hamm, Knoxville, Tenn.; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a worldwide family in Christ.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3 at 11 a.m. from Nicholson Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Smith and Henry Webb officiating. Interment will follow in the Maxwell Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, August 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
