HULL – James Roy Seagraves Jr., 71, entered his Heavenly home on Friday, January 24, 2014, following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Seagraves was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was a well-known Athens service station operator and had many friends in the Athens area.
He was the son of the late J. Roy and Dessie Mae Seagraves. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Athens. Mr. Seagraves was preceded in death by a brother, Halford Seagraves.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; three children, Keith (Claire) Seagraves , Kevin (Terrie) Seagraves , and Kim (Steve) Westmoreland; four grandchildren, Ethan Seagraves, Emily Seagraves, Kara Cruse, and Jared Cruse; siblings, Hershelene Vickery, Betty Smith, Trudy Evans, Val Tyner, and Linda Bourne; one brother, Larry Seagraves; and mother-in-law, Ouida Phillips.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Baptist Church in Athens on Monday, January 27. Burial was at Bluestone Baptist Church Cemetery in Danielsville.
