LULA – Earl Armour, 65, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014, at his residence.
Born on May 30, 1948, in Hall County, he was the son of the late Jiles Armour and Bonnie Brown Armour. Mr. Armour attended Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church and was a retired transfer officer with Lee Arrendale State Prison. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auctions, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Armour was preceded in death by a sister, Omazell Parson; and brothers, Luther, Larry, Glen, Ricky, and Troy Armour.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Jamerson Armour, Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Andria and Sinclair Smith, Newborn; grandchildren, Haley, Landon, and Mackenzie; brothers, N.C. Armour, Gainesville, Cecil Armour, Homer, and Jimmy Armour, Alto; and sisters, Ruby Simmons, Alto, and Janice Armour, Cornelia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at Bethesda Fellowship Congregational Holiness Church with the Revs. Clarence Reynolds and Terry Benfield officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery with the Rev. John Graham officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at the funeral home.
