DANIELSVILLE – John Scarboro, 71, died Monday, May 5, 2014.
A native of Danielsville, he was the son of the late Amos and Annie Mae Scarboro. He was the owner of Scarboro Wood Product and of the Baptist denomination. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scarboro.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Floyd Scarboro; children, Becky (David) Swain, Danielsville, and Jimmy Booth, Danielsville; grandchildren, Melissa Bassett, Danielsville, Jonathan (Leslie) Mitchell, Macon, Chris (Tiesha) Mitchell, Danielsville, Alex Booth, Danielsville, and Maranda (Brian) Thomas, Danielsville; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, at 2 p.m., at Lord and Stephens Danielsville Chapel with the Rev. Jack Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the services.
