CORNELIA – Lois Rogers Martin, 86, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2012, following a sudden illness.
She was born in Rabun County, on May 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Ira and Annie Harkins Rogers. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Clarence Martin. She was a member of Midway Mission Church and was a full-time dedicated Christian homemaker and mother.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jerry Norris, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Joy Martin, Cornelia; sisters, Margie Martin, Demorest, and Marie Edmonds, Mt. City; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, at the funeral home with the Revs. Jason Thornton and Aaron Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.
