JEFFERSON – Donna Ann Banks Payton, 54, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
Mrs. Payton was born in Jefferson, the daughter of the late Lathan Banks and Clara Sikes Banks of Jefferson. She was retired from Baker and Taylor in Commerce, as a book stamper with over 20 years of service. Mrs. Payton was a long time member of White Plains Baptist Church. Mrs. Payton was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Ivester
Survivors in addition to her mother include her husband, Randy Eugene Payton, Jefferson; daughter, Jessica S. Payton, Jefferson; sons, Lathan Travis Payton, Camp LeJune, N.C., and Wes R. Payton, Winder; sister, Lynda Bruce, Jefferson; brothers, Larry Banks, Jefferson, and James Banks, Pendergrass; grandchild, Dominic Alexander Payton; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home with the Revs. Cary Pittman and Kevin Page officiating. Interment will follow in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 28, at Evans Funeral Home, from 5 to 9 p.m.
