ATHENS – Mildred Ruth Epps, 82, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.
A native of Morgan County, Ga., Mrs. Epps was the daughter of the late Frank and Clyde Beal Thrasher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Earl Epps Jr. and a daughter, Jennifer Elaine Epps.
Survivors include sons, John Epps and wife, Diane, Athens, and Randall Epps and wife, Michelle, Nashville, Ga.; brothers, Roy Thrasher, Madison, Ga. and Roger Thrasher, Hull; sisters, Helen Long, Madison, Ga. and Kaye Ervin, Snellville; grandchildren, Tiffany (Joe) Fick, Mark Bailey, Josh (Holly), Caleb and Rachel; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Crooked Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Tom Miles and the Rev. Bill Carpenter. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Bernstein Funeral Home.
