MOUNTAIN CITY – Louise Queen Farmer, age 82, of Mountain City, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Mountain City on May 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Belle Watts Queen. She was the widow of Young H. Farmer. She was a cook for the Rabun County School System and her last employment was for Rabun County Hospital. She was a member of Blue Heights Baptist Church. She was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.B. Queen and Fred Queen. Survivors include two sons, Mike Farmer (Pat) of Clayton and Danny Farmer (Becky) of Danielsville, six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 9, at the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Cannon and Layman Lloyd Hunter officiating. Burial was held at Rabun Memorial Park in Tiger.
