COLBERT – Barbara Ann Alewine, 67, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Noah William and Callie Mae Lord Alewine. Ann was retired from Athens Auto Wrecking. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family.
Survivors include sons, Bo Alewine (Julie), Comer, and Joe Alewine (Kristie), Bishop; a brother, Robert Alewine (Betty), Ormond Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Josh, Terrance, Tyler, Bryce and Nichole Alewine; great-grandchild, Josie Alewine and husband, Gerald Tucker.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 9, at 10 a.m. at Lord and Stephens chapel with the Rev. Clay Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mark Bugg, Mike Alewine, Nile Faulkner, Buck Alewine, Dennis Cowart, Troy Yancey, and Larry Paul Alewine. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, August 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.
