BRASELTON – Troy Lee Du Bois, 47, passed away Monday August 18, 2014, following a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.
Mr. Du Bois was born in Louisville, Ky., the son of the late Richard J. Du Bois and Wanda Turner Thompson. Mr. Du Bois moved to Braselton in 1998, was self-employed as a flooring installer, and graduated from Lanier Technical College with a degree in computer technology. He was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Woody.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Abell Du Bois, Braselton; daughter, Amanda Du Bois, Braselton; brother, Terry Du Bois and his wife, Cindy, Walnut Grove; stepfather, Bill Thompson, Lawrenceville; nieces, Tiffany McCraw Benson, Destiney Du Bois, and Summer Du Bois; nephew, Steven Woody; and great-nephews, Nathan Du Bois and Mason Woody, Taylor and Conner Benson; and a number of other relatives.
A private celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society in honor of those who are fighting and have fought cancer, 1684 Barnett Shoals Rd., Athens, GA 30605.
