DANIELSVILLE – Elizabeth James Hammond, 80, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014.
She was born September 2, 1933, the daughter of the late Judge James and Frances James. She was a native of Madison County and a member of Moons Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Hammond was a homemaker and a very patient, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, F. Jack Hammond; and an infant daughter.
Survivors include sons, Keith (Abby) Hammond and Kim Hammond; a brother, Hiram (June) James; sister-in-law, Ravonda Minish; brother-in-law, Verlon (Barbara) Moulder; grandchildren, Dustin, Keegan, Dillon, Taylor and Emily Hammond; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kayln, Kinley and Ellie Hammond; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 23, 1 p.m. at Lord & Stephens, Danielsville chapel with the Revs. Tom Dial and Dayton Logan officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. The interment will be in Moons Grove Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers are Dustin Hammond, Dillon Hammond Taylor Hammond, Stanley James, Steven James, Barry James and Randy Jones.
