MAYSVILLE – Ollie Josephine Harris Savage, 81, died Saturday, August 16, 2014. at her residence.
Mrs. Savage was born in Banks County, the daughter of the late Joe and Pearl Peppers Harris. She was a member of Maysville Baptist Church. She was retired from Barrow Manufacturing and later worked at Craven’s Pottery. Mrs. Savage was preceded in death by siblings, Jerry Harris, Ruby Harris, and Willie Jean Owensby.
Survivors include her husband, Talmadge Savage, Maysville; children, Ricky Savage, Maysville, Wanda Savage Wood, Nicholson, Carol Savage Williams (Gary), Maysville, and Mark Savage (Kimberly), Maysville; brothers, William Harris, John Harris and James Harris, all of Gillsville, and Howard Harris, Commerce; sisters, Ruth Parson and Mary Parson, both of Gillsville, and Margie Sanders, Homer; grandchildren, Justin Wood, Kyle Wood, Corey Williams (Jessica), Cody Williams, Chase Herring (Kelly), and Calli Shirley (Donnie); four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 18, at Maysville Baptist Church with the Revs. David Sharpton and Clay Hardy officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
