PENDERGRASS – Robin Leah Stansel Shumake, 55, entered into rest Friday, August 29, 2014.
Ms. Shumake was born in Winder, the daughter of the late David Edward Stansel and Mrs. Peggy Brooks Sosebee of Talmo. She was preceded in death by a niece, Alison Stansel. She was a childcare professional with Bright Beginnings for a number of years, and was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her mother and stepfather, include daughters, Ashley Shumake and Katie Shumake, both of Pendergrass; grandson, Liam Shumake, Pendergrass; mother and stepfather, Peggy and W.T. Sosebee, Talmo; sister, Rhonda Clark, Braselton; brothers, Ricky Stansel and Randy Stansel, both of Pendergrass; nephews, Dustin Clark, Derek Clark, Jason Stansel, and Sam Stansel; niece, Jessica Colley; and a number of other relatives.
A graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 31, in the Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Services will follow at 3 p.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Robin Shumake and Family Fund in care of Northeast Georgia Bank, 1775 Old Pendergrass Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.
