NICHOLSON – Jimmy Ray Cooke, 74, died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Nicholson, the son of the late William A. and Effie Lowe Cooke. He was a retired poultry plant manager and was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Hunt Cooke, Nicholson; a son, Stanley R. Cooke, Nicholson; daughter, Starliah Jean Waldrup, Nicholson; three grandchildren, Shann Cooke, Tori and Kinley Waldrup; and one great-grandson, Cody Cooke.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 21 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Hunter officiating. Interment will be at Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, August 20, from 6 to 8 p.m.
