COMMERCE – Forrest Harold “Bobo” Marsingill, 71, formerly of Buford, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014.
Mr. Marsingill was born May 5, 1943, in Buford. He received his education in the Buford City School System. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was a retired machine operator from Dolco Packing Company, and was a member of Island Ford Baptist Church. He was the son of the late James Chester Marsingill and Mary Lou Doster Marsingill and was preceded in death by a son, Ray Andrew Marsingill; sisters, Vennie M. Davis, Lavadar M. Chambers, and Ann Perry; and brothers, Horice Marsingill and Edward Marsingill.
Survivors include children, Harold Marsingill, Jr., Commerce, Deborah and Jimmy Black, Gainesville, Matthew Marsingill, Flowery Branch, and Mary and Danny Barge, Gainesville; former wife, Joan Holtzclaw; daughter-in-law, Kelly Pierce, Monroe; grandchildren, Daniel Rothove, Timothy Marsingill, Kelsey Marsingill, and Kasey Black; brothers, Darell Marsingill, Buford, Curtis Marsingill, Buford, Jarell Marsingill, Sugar Hill, and J. Chester and Yumi Marsingill, Buford; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, September 18, from 2 until 8 p.m.
