NICHOLSON – Edna Lucile Adams Smith, 90, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born in Commerce, the daughter of the late Obediah and Estelle Pittman Adams. She was a member of the Gordons Chapel United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Stoy Mell Smith.
Survivors include a son, Mell Smith, Hull; daughters, Obie Brooks, Colbert, and Sharon Burch, Watkinsville; brother, Lee Adams, Commerce; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 3, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, October 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice or the Gordons Chapel United Methodist Church.
