COMER – James Len Graham, 64, died Friday, October 17, 2014.
Born in Elbert County, he was the son of Jenny Graham of Colbert and the late James P. Graham. Mr. Graham was retired from the granite industry after more than 30 years of employment in the Elberton area. He was an active and dedicated member of Vineyard’s Creek Baptist Church, where he had served as both deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years. He was happiest spending time with his family and friends playing golf, hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a kind, optimistic gentleman with a big heart.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife of 42 years, Mary Martin Graham; daughter, Leah Graham (Billy) King, Danielsville; sister, Sheila Graham, Carlton; four grandchildren, Logan, Brayden, Annalee and Baylee King; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, October 20, at 3 p.m., at Vineyard’s Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Gerald Hunt and Billy Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Martin, Adam Martin, Jeff Roberts, David Thompson, David McCannon and Dennis Hart. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Vineyard’s Creek Baptist Church, Phil Thomas, Randy Hart, Danny Martin, Larry Broome, Howard Strickland, Goss Cooper and Aubrey Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vineyard’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
