DANIELSVILLE – Gracie Looney Jones, 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.
Mrs. Jones was born in Danielsville on May 6, 1948, the daughter of the late Luther Albert Looney and Liberty Bella Scoggins Looney. She was a plant supervisor having worked for Ranick LTC. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Comer, and a member of the Madison County Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Jones; and a brother, Gary Lee Looney.
Survivors include her children, William Donald Jones, Commerce, Linda Faye Jones, Danielsville, Wanda Lynn Chambers, Comer, Tracey Lee Jones, Comer, Rose Marie Jones, Athens, and Brandy Nichole Cash, Comer; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Luther Allen Looney, Comer, Earley Joe Looney, Hull, and Grady Looney, Colbert; sisters, Bobbie Jean Hunsinger, Comer, and Edna Mae Campbell, Commerce.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. on Friday evening. The family is at 7949 Highway 72 E., Carlton.
