LEXINGTON – Faye Dale White, 83, a resident of 54 Gordon Road, Lexington, but for the past eight years resided at Quiet Oaks Health Care of Crawford, died on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014.
Born in Danielsville, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Doc Dale. White was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Jefferson and was a 1948 graduate of Madison County High School. Not only was she a homemaker and a truly devoted wife, she was a mother and grandmother who was very passionate about her family and their wellbeing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Billy Joe White, and her siblings, Clara Booth, Geraldine Pritchet, Albert Dale, Hoyle Dale, Pegi Murzynski, Billy Dale, Joanne Davis, Dot Jowers, Thelma Glenn and Frances Carter.
Survivors include four children, Thane (Jim) McKie, of Lexington; Pam (the late David) Carson, of Willow Spring, N.C.; Mike (Sandra) White, of Lexington; and Jeff White of Roswell; two brothers, Gene Dale, of Marietta, and Aubrey Lee Dale, of Lilburn. Survivors also include eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, with the Rev. Tim Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Gray Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. Pallbearers will be Phillip Carson (Navy Chaplain), Michael White, Joshua McKie, Cass Stanton, Wes Stanton, Michael Cook and Jim Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Cook, Tripp White, Tanner McKie and Grant Foster.
