COMMERCE – Bertha Roberts Brown, 91, died Sunday, February 26, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospice House.
Born in Toccoa, she was the daughter of the late Gilliam H. and Maggie Myers Roberts. She was retired from Roper Pump Company after more then 20 years of service. Her husband, John C. Brown, preceded Mrs. Brown in death.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John Terry and Ann Brown, Commerce; and grandchildren, Andy, Jennifer, Ashley and Ben Brown; two nephews; one niece; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 29, at 2 p.m. from the Commerce First Baptist Church with the Revs. Carlton Allen and Kent Cranford officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, February 28, from 6 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the St. Mary’s Hospice House located at 1660 Jennings Mill Rd., Bogart, GA 30622.
