LULA – Margaret Patton Caudelle, 84, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at her residence.
Born in Hall County on March 8, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Patton and Mae Miller Patton Dodd. Mrs. Caudelle was a retired banker and active member of Enon Baptist Church. She was a historian who enjoyed gathering history for her family, church, and City of Lula. She was also an avid cook and former member of Lula Better Business Association. Mrs. Caudelle was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Roy Clarence Caudelle; stepfather, Ted Dodd; and sister, Willie Mae Patton.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roy Gregory “Greg” and Susan Jordan Caudelle, Lula; grandson, Hunter Gregory Caudelle; and brother-in-law, Harold Caudelle, Lula.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 19, at Enon Baptist Church with the Revs. Loyd Martin and Josh Harrington officiating. Mrs. Caudelle will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the Rev. Chris Porter officiating.
