JEFFERSON – Kenneth Jones, Sr., 78, formerly of Suwanee, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrah Mack and Beunice D. Jones. Mr. Jones was born April 27, 1936, and was a native of Gwinnett County. He was a retired water meter installer and a member of White Plains Baptist Church in Jefferson.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ann Coleman Jones, Jefferson; children, Kenneth Mack Jones, Jr. and wife, Nedra Jones, Flowery Branch, Keith Jones and wife, Pat Jones, Buford, Gwen Jones Golder and husband Rick Golder, Winder, and Diann Jones Roberts and husband, Robby Roberts, Sautee Nacoochee; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Jane Jones Harrell and husband, Johnny Harrell, Bethlehem; and niece, Sherry Whidby, Sugar Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with the Revs. Lamar Hansard and Gene Acker officiating. Interment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Duluth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 19, from 4 until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 20, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
