COMMERCE – Malise Brown, 91, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Brown was born in Danielsville, the daughter of the late Dallas and Mary Elizabeth Whitworth McElroy. She was a member of Hudson River Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Hyman Brown.
Survivors include sons, Don Brown (Jean) and Phil Brown (Amy), all of Commerce; grandchildren, Russ Brown (Loren), Rob Brown (Kristin), Heather Gilliam (Kurtis), Holly Love (Chris), and Meg Brown (Cruz Patrick); and great-grandchildren, Boston, Mason, Jackson, Brooklyn, Kenlyn, and Case Brown, Lilly Anna Gilliam, Landri and Letti Love, and Jennings Patrick.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 13, at Hudson River Baptist Church with the Revs. Russ Brown and Troy Herbert officiating. Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, February 12, from 5 to 8 p.m.
