WINDER – Melissa Joanne Harp, 46, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015.
She was the daughter of Joanne Ward of Winder and the late Raymond Ward. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Monroe. Mrs. Harp was preceded in death by her a brother, William Ward.
Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband, James Harp, Winder; son, Justin Ryan Hunter; daughter, Whitney Michelle Hunter, Winder; grandmother, Frances Ward, Winder; uncle, Larry Ward, Winder; and four grandchildren, Christiana, Keira, Isabel, and Jana Hunter.
Visitation will be Monday, March 9, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Grace Baptist Church in Monroe, with the Rev. Tommy Fountain officiating. Mrs. Harp will lie in state from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made to Gideons International for a Bible in memory of Melissa.
