COMMERCE – Mary Nell “Mama Nell” Morgan, 87, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at Hill Haven Nursing Home.
Mrs. Morgan was born in Carnesville, the daughter of the late Vade and Maudie Means Watkins. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was retired from Blue Bell. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Carlan; second husband, Allen Morgan; and son, Jack Morris Carlan.
Survivors include sisters, Mildred Barnett and Ellen Parker (James), both of Commerce; brother, Charles Watkins (Brenda), Commerce; one grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Derry Oliver officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m., prior to the services.
