COMMERCE – Margaret Purcell Lacy, 92, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
She was born in Banks County, the daughter of the late C.D. and Ruth (Powers) Purcell. Mrs. Lacy was preceded in death by her husband, James Lacy; daughter, Jimmie Lacy Brown; and brother, Hoyt Purcell.
Survivors include a daughter, Jayne (Randy) Lackey, Ila; grandchildren, Chanda (Tommy) Cowart, Ila, Josh (Tiffany) Brown, Lula, and Kyle (Heather) Lackey, Ila; great grandchildren, Naomi Cowart, Patience Brown, Damian Brown, and Abigail Lackey; brothers, Garnett “Tickle” Purcell, Commerce; sisters, Doris Williams, Commerce, and Mary Ann Perkins, Centerville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, April 26, from 5 until 8 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, April 27, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. Zach Hawkes officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens.
