JEFFERSON – Shelton Morris Bush, 67, answered the call and transitioned peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2015, at his residence.
Shelton was born April 16, 1948, in Franklin County, Georgia, the son of the late Sam and Irene Morris Bush. He graduated from Carnesville High and Trade School in 1966. On August 1, 1970 he married the former Regina White Bush. Shelton was retired from Johns Manville in Winder. He was a dedicated member of Melvin Hill CME Church, where he served as Trustee and Treasurer. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Regina; two children, Shaun Bush (Daphne), Lawrenceville, and Porsha Bush Williams (Courtney), Dacula; four grandchildren, J’Quori Jones, Peyton Bush, Courtnee Kai Williams, and Kendall Reece Williams; three sisters, Ida Gibson, Columbia, S.C., JoAnn Bush, Commerce, and Avie Sue Shivers, Commerce; a special niece raised in the home, Angel Shealer; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 30, at Melvin Hill CME Church, 260 Melvin Hill Church Rd., Carnesville, GA 30521. He is laid to rest at Melvin Hill CME Church Cemetery.
