MAYSVILLE – James Roy Brooks, 90, died Thursday, May 14, 2015. at Northridge Health and Rehab Center.
Mr. Brooks was born in Pendergrass, the son of the late Roy Alfred and Bertie Adams Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a retired carpenter, member of Maysville Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School teacher, and he was a board member of the Maysville Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Short Brooks, Maysville; son, Tim Brooks (Tracy), Maysville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, at 3 p.m., from Maysville Baptist Church with Dr. Shane Roberson officiating. Interment will be at Sunrise Cemetery.
