NICHOLSON – Jack L. Thompson, Jr., 74, died Friday, May 15, 2015, at his residence.
Mr. Thompson was born in Watkinsville, the son of the late, Jack L. Thompson, Sr. and Bonnie Hitt Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a United States Navy and Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Blalock Thompson, Nicholson; daughters, Dawn Thompson Beatty, Jefferson, Deanna (Dana) Thompson, Commerce, and Christie Thompson, High Point, N.C.; brother, Tim Thompson, Hull, and Kip Thompson, Randleman, N.C.; sisters, Billie Doster, Colbert, Jeannette Hardeman, Washington, Faye Bond, Danielsville, and Marjie Stephens, Winterville; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 17, from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Blalock officiating with the interment at Center United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
