JEFFERSON – Marelle Flowers Tate, 72, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, following an extended illness.
Ms. Tate was born on October 7, 1942, the daughter of the late John Maddox and Lula Reeves Maddox. She was a homemaker and was of Pentecostal denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Flowers; and second husband, Billy Brightwell.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Ralph Evans and Bonnie Evans, Braselton; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Buster Pearson, Braselton; son and daughter in-law, Mickey and Stacie Flowers, Jefferson; sister, Mildred Seagraves, Jefferson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, at 3 p.m., in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Fabian Parker and Dr. Freddy Rimpsey will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
