WINDER – Helen Virginia Deaton, 80 passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
Mrs. Deaton was the daughter of the late Clarence and Eddie Mae Casper Peppers. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church, was a seamstress, and had worked for Barrow Manufacturing. Helen was preceded was in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Deaton; and a sister, Rachel Rooks.
Survivors include a son, Brian Deaton (Mary Beth), Winder; sister, Sybil Smith, Braselton; her beloved poodle, Buster Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, October 2, from 6 until 9 p.m., at Smith Memory Chapel. Funeral services will at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, in the chapel of Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Darrell Gilmer officiating. Interment will follow in Barrow Memorial Gardens.
